Mary and Roger – Expecting

This photo shoot has been highly anticipated!  My dear friend Mary and her husband, Roger, have been waiting for quite some time to become parents.  As soon as Mary discovered she was having a boy (see their gender reveal photos here!) she knew his name would be Max and that his room would be Where the Wild Things Are themed.  This weekend I had the pleasure of co-hosting her Where the Wild Things Are baby shower.  Now that the maternity photos and shower are over it’s time to relax and wait!  I cannot wait to meet this baby next month and photograph his birth!  It will be an amazing experience to finally see the little boy who has been so desired!  Here are my favorites from their maternity shoot on Fort Meade with some baby shower photos near the end.  Enjoy!

(That’s me on the right!)

Selby Family 2014

Seriously, there is no greater compliment than when clients choose you again and again to capture the special moments in their lives.  We’ve known the Selbys for years and were so honored when they chose us to capture their maternity photos and Sophia’s newborn photos.  Now their sweet daughter is one and it was time again for family portraits.  Christine did a perfect job planning their wardrobe and Sophia is just as precious as I remember.  She was blowing me kisses the entire time and even gave me a hug before they left.

I know what it feels like to leave your family session so excited and the anticipation you feel waiting for those images.  I feel the same way every time we have our family photos taken.  But I can promise that every time I walk away from a session I photographed I am just as excited.  I love this work and I love making the families I work with happy, it makes my heart so full!

Here are my favorites from their photo session.

Mommy & Me – Mel & Griffin

Mel and Griffin’s original mini session was rained out (10 % chance of rain and it poured!) so we re-scheduled and she decided to upgrade to a full session.  :-)  I was so excited when they showed up with their super hero capes and masks… they were ready to rock!  The light was gorgeous and Griffin was so ready to have his photo taken.  Here are the best from our lovely evening together.

Mommy & Me Minis

Here are some of my favorite photos from Mommy & Me Minis with Colton and Maddie.  They are both sweet babes whom I’ve had the pleasure of photographing before.  I was so happy to see them both and how much they had grown.  I can’t wait until the next time I see them… How do they grow so fast?

Like Mother, Like Daughter

These two.  Wow!

1. They are GORGEOUS.

2. They always show up perfectly styled and look amazing.

3. They are so silly and sweet together.

Even if you don’t know this mother/daughter duo you can tell from these images just how much love there is between them.  I was so happy to capture their bond and I’m thrilled to share these images with all of you.  These images have become some of my absolute favorites and I hope you love them, too!

Also, look how much Lana has grown since the last time I photographed this beautiful family!  <3
