The Birth of Fiona

Fiona was born on a beautiful April morning after her sweet momma labored all through the night.  Things seemed to go as well as uncontrollable, spontaneous events (like labor and delivery!) can possibly go.  Lauren was able to have the hospital water birth she hoped for and Fiona was one of the first few babies to be born in the new tub at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. The nurses were calling her their little fish.

Fiona’s gender was a surprise and I was so excited to have been able to capture the reactions of family and friends as they came in and found out “It’s a GIRL!”  The joy and love in the room was overflowing.  Fiona joins her older brother and sister and couldn’t have been luckier… she hit the parent AND sibling jackpot.  I just know she’ll grow to be as happy and healthy as little girls can possibly be.

Here are a few a lot of my favorites from Fiona’s big day.  It was just too hard to choose and as always, I wanted to do her story justice.

Welcome to the world beautiful girl!
